What will you be financing?

Heden is a collection of creative hubs combining sustainable and innovative coworking and event spaces alongside an active cultural and wellness programme. The second round of the project has two main purposes: installing a self-sufficient solar power plant of around 100 panels and a 30 kWp capacity on their roof as well as using trim materials such as celenit for ceiling thermal and acoustic isolation and sustainable materials for furniture elements such as bamboo, native timber and cork for decorative elements.

The solar power plant will allow Heden Santa Apolónia to be 90% self-sufficient in terms of energy consumption, avoiding an estimated CO2 emission of around 23 tons per year. A significant positive impact is also associated to the type of materials used for furniture and trim. Bamboo is a plant that grows really fast, so in the same area generate 20 times faster than a tree. Apart from that, its harvesting doesn’t kill the plant, different from most of tree species, and its oxygen production capacity is 35% bigger than trees.
