This campaign aims to finance a photovoltaic self-consumption system for Expertcom, a Portuguese company in the urban mobility sector with a consolidated presence in the Porto metropolitan area.

The installation and operation of the solar panels will be carried out by the campaign promoter: Solcor Portugal, specialising in solar installations.
Expertcom operates in the urban mobility sector with a vision grounded in sustainability and the energy transition. Based in Porto and São Mamede de Infesta, the company has a fleet of more than 60 vehicles and a network of over 120 drivers, working in partnership with the main mobility platforms. Expertcom has been supporting its drivers in the transition to electric vehicles and also operates electric charging stations in central Porto. The company aims to become a national reference in the sector, investing in technological innovation and in a more connected and sustainable future.
The contract signed between Solcor Portugal and the company includes the installation of a 166,97 kWp solar photovoltaic system for self-consumption, composed of 283 panels (590W each), two hybrid inverters - which allow for future integration of storage batteries - as well as DC and AC equipment and accessories, monitorization equipment, and a support structure. It will enable the production of over 200 MWh of clean energy per year and 19% energy self-sufficiency. This guarantees a reduction of 23% in electricity costs.

This is Solcor's thirtieth campaign. 19 of the 29 previous campaigns financed solar energy for social organizations: Social Solar Solcor, Social Solar Solcor II, Social Solar Solcor III, Social Solar Solcor IV, Social Solar Solcor V, Social Solar Solcor VI, Social Solar Solcor VII, Social Solar Solcor VIII, Social Solar Solcor IX, Social Solar Solcor X, Social Solar Solcor XI, Social Solar Solcor XII, Social Solar Solcor XIII, Social Solar Solcor XIV, Social Solar Solcor XV, Social Solar Solcor XVI, Social Solar Solcor XVII, Social Solar Solcor XVIII, and Social Solar Solcor XIX.
Direct
Contribution to the decarbonisation of Portugal, avoiding CO2 emissions: with a total production of clean energy of over 204 MWh per year, the solar plant will avoid the emission of more than 22 tonnes of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of 1019 trees.
Cost reduction for the end customer: decentralized energy production through renewable sources, close to the place of consumption, helps to avoid distribution costs, this being the most competitive option. In addition, the company's lower dependence on the national grid makes it less vulnerable to price fluctuations and tax charges.
Indirect
Promoting sustainable business: the project developed by Solcor for Expertcom is an example of the applicability of solar power for any business, and in this case serves as a benchmark to similar industries, an important step towards sustainability for businesses in Portugal.
