Description
This pilot project is a partnership between Amplicercanias and Cimpor, a company of the InterCement group, and is another step towards the decarbonization of its energy consumption. The projects aims in financing photovoltaic power plant which will produce 475MWh of clean energy per year.
The Impact
This photovoltaic power plant will produce 475MWh of clean energy per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 150 families and avoiding the emission of 128 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere, or the equivalent of planting 5803 trees.

Amplicercanias is a company incorporated in March 2018 with the purpose of building and operating a photovoltaic power plant at the facilities of Sacopor. It is 95% owned by Tilera, Unipessoal, Lda, a company classified by Iberinform with a score rating 5, equivalent to a low level of default.
Business Model
Following the same model used in Sacopor Solar project, Amplicercanias leads this 68.000€ solar power project investment, participating with 10.000€ of its own capital, and sharing the financial benefits from the energy production with Santos e Bairros, through a monthly rent.
