Co-finance the 3rd Edition of Rock à Moda do Porto

Description

VIBES & BEATS has been a dynamic actor in Portugal's entertainment world. They are now one of the largest national concert producers and manage events in many of the country's main venues.

The funds raised through this campaign aim to co-finance the 3rd Edition of Rock à Moda do Porto at the SuperBock Arena on October 25 and 26, 2024.

Following the success of previous editions, Rock à Moda do Porto returns for another celebration of rock at the Super Bock Arena in Porto. In 2021 and 2022, it featured big names in Portuguese music: GNR, Clã, Pedro Abrunhosa, Taxi, among others.

This is the promoter's eighth campaign, after having raised 1.195.000 euros through Vibes&Beats I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII to leverage costs before shows, which were later settled by the ticket sellers (usually 15 days after the events).

To date, the promoter has organized and produced Laura Pausini's show at the Meo Arena, the 6th edition of the North Festival at Parque de Serralves, the 2nd edition of Brasil Vibes at Meo Arena, and Bell Marques' show at the Muralhas de Faro.

Currently, there are 9 shows with tickets on sale:

  • Ana Castela with two dates at Super Bock Arena and one at Meo Arena
  • Rock à Moda do Porto with two dates at Super Bock Arena
  • Para Sempre Marco with one date at Sagres Campo Pequeno and one at Super Bock Arena
  • Joanna with one date at Sagres Campo Pequeno and one at Super Bock Arena

The promoter's goals are to create new concepts of events, concerts, and festivals, where music is not the only focus of the public.

The Impact

Promotion of cultural economic activity: strengthening trade in cultural goods and services provides stimulation for local and national markets, which in turn provides employment opportunities and promotes local production. This is especially important after the cultural sector suffered serious setbacks by the Covid-19 pandemic in the last two years, and starts now to recover. The financing of Vibes&Beats enables:

  • Maintenance of 8 full-time formal jobs
  • Boost of the national cultural industry: partnering with around 80 other national companies for the realization of the events – including marketing, communication, and structures services, it encourages the cultural infrastructure.

Promotion of cultural diversity and heritage: the realization of the events promotes and recognizes national artists, cultural production, and heritage, and by bringing international artists to tour it contributes to an appreciation of cultural diversity.
