Co-financing the 5th edition of the North Festival.


VIBES & BEATS has been a dynamic actor in Portugal's entertainment world. They are now one of the largest national concert producers and manage events in many of the country's main venues.   

The funds raised through this campaign are intended to co-finance the preparation and production of the 5th edition of the North Festival on May 26, 27, and 28 at Alfândega do Porto, in Oporto. 


This is the promoter's third campaign, after having raised 400,000 euros through Vibes&Beats I and II, to leverage costs before shows, which were later settled by the ticket sellers (usually 15 days after the events).

As headliners for the North Festival, we can find Robbie Williams, The Chemical Brothers and Ivete Sangalo, and renowned national artists such as Pedro Abrunhosa and The Black Mamba. The festival also features Ana Castela and Gustavo Mioto.

In the first three months of 2023, the promoter organized 7 shows: the return of Eros Ramazzotti with two dates at the Altice Arena (Lisbon); The Waterboys tour with three shows at the Coliseu of Lisbon, Coliseu of Porto and Estoril Casino; the first show in Portugal of the Barões da Pisadinha, with two dates at the Super Bock Arena and Sagres Campo Pequeno. At this moment Vibes&Beats has 11 shows for sale at the box office and has more shows to be announced by the end of this semester.  

The North Festival is presented as more than a music festival. The promoter intends to create a national reference through differentiated and charismatic experiences. The festival's slogan is "The compass points North". They have an eclectic program, a privileged location by the Douro river, and offer attractive conditions to "festival-goers".

The North Festival also features:

  • street food food-court, 
  • sunset stage 
  • sunset parties aboard the rabelo boats.
  • lounge with barbers, tattoo artists, make-up artists and many other surprises. 
  • clubbing space with DJs. 
  • premium tickets, with a privileged stage view, catering, bars, bathrooms, and access to the boat rides.

With these activities, the North Festival strengthens its relationship with the public, also becoming a profitable environment for brand activation.

The promoter's goals are to create new concepts for events, concerts and festivals where music is not the only focus.

The Impact

Promotion of cultural economic activity: strengthening trade in cultural goods and services provides stimulation for local and national markets, which in turn provides employment opportunities and promotes local production. This is especially important after the cultural sector suffered serious setbacks by the Covid-19 pandemic in the last two years, and starts now to recover. The financing of Vibes&Beats enables:

  • Maintenance of 6 full-time formal jobs
  • Boost of the national cultural industry: partnering with around 80 other national companies for the realization of the events – including marketing, communication, and structures services, it encourages the cultural infrastructure.

Promotion of cultural diversity and heritage: the realization of the events promotes and recognizes national artists, cultural production, and heritage, and by bringing international artists to tour it contributes to an appreciation of cultural diversity.

Improvement in environmental responsibilities of events: the event North Music Festival produced by Vibes&Beats has begun in their 4th edition in 2022 to value measures to decrease the event’s environmental footprint, such as the exclusive use of reusable cups. However, the organization recognizes a longer way to go, and commit to more environment-friendly initiatives for the 5th edition of the event in 2023. Once these specific measures are set, the promoter plans to update investors.

Financial viability

Vibes & Beats has a calender of already signed contracts with open ticketing for the period 2023/2024, the funding will be repaid with revenues from these shows.

VIBES & BEATS acts in the market of culture, entertainment, and showbiz, through the contracting of national and international artists. The company is among the largest Portuguese producers and promoters. 

So far they have worked with artists such as BUSH, Bastille, Franz Ferdinand, Emir Kusturica, Caetano Veloso, The Prodigy, Guano Apes, Gogol Bordello, Skunk Anansie, Natiruts, Erick Morillo, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Zélia Duncan, Simone, Zeca Baleiro, Djavan, GNR, Moonspell, selling out some of the largest venues in the country. 

VIBES & BEATS was also a pioneer in introducing the Back to School concept in Portugal, with a major event held at Campo Pequeno. At the moment the company has more than 80 partners, including print media, radio, blogs, and other online platforms. Its goal is to develop new concepts for increasingly diverse and demanding audiences.

Jorge Veloso


The founder and CEO, Jorge Veloso, has 27 years of experience in touring and event production. Having founded his first company at the age of 19, his professional journey includes shows in 25 countries and 4 continents. From touring and representing Portuguese artists to managing tours of international names like Caetano Veloso, Seu Jorge, The Waterboys, or Ivete Sangalo. It is also important to note the production of major productions of the Champions League, UEFA Cup, and carnivals in several European cities.

  • Promoter and producer - ticket sales for shows and tour management of national and international artists.
  • Management of advertising and sponsorship - optimization of events through brand activation for partners and stakeholders.
  • Sale of shows for public and private entities.
