Photovoltaic solar plant for a textile company.

Description

This campaign aims to finance a photovoltaic solar power plant for IEBOSA, a textile company. Specialized in industrial embroidery for high-end corsetry and fashion, IBEOSA has been active for over 50 years and employs 60 people.

Averta Capital, the project promoter, will own and operate the PV solar central in an ESCO model. This way, IEBOSA will benefit from renewable energy at a lower cost without any investment. The model allows companies to accelerate toward energy transition while conducting regular operations.
The photovoltaic solar plant will have more than 106 solar panels, with a total power of 57.24kWp and will be installed on the roof of the 600m2 warehouse. The plant will produce close to 70,000 kWh per year, enough energy to power 40% of its operations, a major energy efficiency initiative to increase the factory's self-sufficiency and sustainability that will allow it to reach new customers. The surpluses of the plant will be compensated through a virtual battery that will take advantage of 100% of the energy produced.

The IEBOSA focus, recognized by its customers, is the product quality and level of service, offering high flexibility at competitive prices. IEBOSA suppliers are, at a local level, an important part of the Catalan business fabrics. IEBOSA is committed to reducing its costs and decarbonizing its production process while increasing the use of recyclable and recycled materials.

The plant installers will be Belenus Energy Systems, a company with more than 20 years of experience working throughout the Spanish territory, with more than 650 MWp installed, equivalent to the CO2 absorption of 70 million trees. In 2021, they rebranded to differentiate activities supported by vertical growth and developed AI-based software for calculation, management and control of photovoltaic installations and construction management, bringing the client 20% more energy or economic performance.

The Impact

Direct impact

  • Contribution to the decarbonisation of the economy, avoiding CO2 emissions: With a total production of clean energy of 68,5 MWh per year, the solar plant will avoid the emission of about 9.4 tons of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of 427 trees.
  • Cost reduction for the end customer: decentralized energy production through renewable sources, close to the place of consumption, helps to avoid distribution costs, this being the most competitive option. For this client, it will have a reduction of more than 40% of the energy cost. In addition, the company's lower dependence on the national grid makes it less vulnerable to price fluctuations and tax charges.

Indirect impact

  • Promotion of renewable solar energy: Averta Capital provides different integrated solutions for the electricity needs of each client and allows all organizations from different sectors and individuals to transition to renewable energy sources. Its mission is to develop energy to make companies more competitive, reduce external dependence and reduce CO2 emissions.
  • Support local companies to a green energy transition: Averta Capital provides a financial option to clients interested in installing solar plants, ensuring the interest of companies in reducing their CO2 emissions and energy costs.

Financial viability

Averta Capital will own the PV solar plant for the first 10 years. During this time, Averta Capital will be invoicing Iebosa for the photovoltaic energy consumed (9.000€ per year indexed to the expected energy consumption), and when the billing of the amount of energy agreed in the contract is completed, Iebosa can acquire the central for 1€. After acquiring the central IBEOSA will reduce its electricity bills by 40%. To build and install this photovoltaic plant, the company requested the next-generation subsidy in February 2022 to cover 35% of the required investment. The plant will be financed 20% by Averta Capital and 80% through the Goparity campaign.

The Promoter

About AVERTA CAPITAL SPV S.L.

Averta Capital was founded in Barcelona by two consultants to promote, invest, own, and manage renewable energy generation assets for households, industry, and commerce to maximize project performance and returns and generate a positive social impact.

The company's main commitments are to increase the generation of renewable energy and reduce the cost of energy to make companies more competitive while curbing climate change. Currently, they have implemented 27 solar projects worth 5.73M€.

To reduce energy costs for companies and mitigate external dependency, Averta Capital allows companies to obtain a photovoltaic energy production plant without requiring investment and without limiting the company's growth possibilities.

Averta is looking forward to launching Goparity campaigns to share with the crowd the opportunity to participate in profitable renewable energy investments.

In September 2023, Averta signed an agreement with Siroco Capital, a venture capital company that will invest 20 million euros in Averta's energy self-consumption projects, over a period of 24 months.
