Description
The objective of this campaign is to finance four photovoltaic plants inserted in the Pias Renewable Energy Community (CER -Pias).
The four plants will be placed in the following places:
- private property of the associate Domingos Filipe Silva Machado Pacheco (6.54 kWp),
- Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Pias (20.16kWp),
- Associação Pinses Arte Cultura e Recreio (20.16kWp),
- Portside Workshop, Lda (89.92 kWp).
The construction of the solar plant and installation of the panels will be carried out by LuzVerde, a Portuguese company with over ten years of experience in providing energy services. Luz Verde is also the installer of seven other projects funded through Goparity: Intermarché Solar I and II, Solar Paintings, Solar Car Wash, Solarize Cuba, Solar footwear factory, Solar Consultants, Solar Olives, and Solar Olives watering.

Direct
- Contribution to the decarbonization of Portugal, avoiding CO2 emissions: with a total clean energy production of around 211.4 MWh per year, the solar energy central will avoid the emission of 28.33 tonnes of CO2 every year. This is equivalent to the absorption of CO2 from around 1288 trees.
Indirect
- Reduction of energy poverty in Portugal: through community energy production, The project will have 84 energy points belonging to 53 associates in a rural area.

Financial viability
The project will have a total installed capacity of approximately 136,78kWp, with a total investment of 80.000 euros. 50,000 euros will be raised through Goparity investors, and the remaining 30,000 euros will be provided by the promoter.
The maturity of the loan was calculated so that the installments will be paid by the revenues obtained from the supply of energy produced to the members of the Community. These four photovoltaic plants will generate savings in electricity costs for members and annual revenues in excess of the investment, which guarantees the sustainability of the project

About : ASSOCIAÇÃO AMIGOS DO REGATO DE PONTERRINHAS - COMUNIDADE DE ENERGIA RENOVÁVEL
The CER - Pias is a non-profit association that intends to share energy with its associates, through several UPCs distributed in a radius of 2 Km, centered in the parish of Pias.
Located in Lousada and founded in 2021, its purpose is to take advantage of endogenous renewable resources and rational use of energy, thus contributing to sustainable energy-environmental management in the parish of Pias, to satisfy general interest needs. They are also responsible for promoting social activities for the local population, permanently integrated with sustainability practices.
Business Model
As a non-profit organization, it will produce, consume, store and sell renewable energy, through the use of endogenous renewable resources, thus contributing to sustainable energy-environmental management of Pias, in order to meet general interest needs. The CER (REC - renewable energy community) of Pias intends to ensure the conjunction and coordination of efforts of various public bodies and private entities, involved in the implementation of rational use of energy and valorization of renewable energy, thus helping Portugal meet energy and climate goals and objectives. The benefits of the REC, in addition to those already mentioned, are essentially to share the renewable energy produced by the production units, guaranteeing that the REC members maintain their rights and obligations as consumers, reducing the electricity bill for its members.
