Description

This campaign's promotor is the Hugo Maia Wellness Concept, a practice that offers wellness and healthcare services around massage therapy to maintain and improve the quality of life of its clients.

At a time of growth, the business's vision is to transition from an office to a clinic. The promotor will start construction work for the clinic in Oporto. To adapt the space and offer all services and structures necessary for the clients' comfort, construction work will focus on creating a front desk area, two therapy offices, a box for a personal trainer, and a bathroom with locker and storage space.

The clinic's construction work will include energy-efficient measures to reduce the impact of its activity and to avoid energy and water waste. This campaign aims to finance the necessary associated electric and hydraulic construction work, including: 

• An AVAC (air conditioning) installation,
  
• LED lighting systems,
• Taps with retainers. 

In a second stage, and according to the demand and growth of the clinic, it is possible to expand to four offices for clinical specialities. The project wants to cover various areas of healthcare, such as massage therapy, acupuncture, osteopathy, paediatrics, general practice, psychology, and physiotherapy - a wide range of options where patients can find the care they need.

• Improving resources use efficiency: the LED lighting and air conditioning will provide the necessary comfort for the clinic’s patients with higher energy efficiency. The installation work has the goal to minimize the energy use and loss and to increase the efficiency in its use. Also, the installation of faucets with retainers, to minimize water waste.
  
• Promoting entrepreneurship: by building the clinic, Hugo Maia Wellness will grow, reaching more clients and involving more professionals and suppliers in its activity.

Indirect

• Job creation: with the expansion, 6 self-employed workers are expected to join the company.
• Promotion of healthy lifestyles and well-being: the services offered by the clinic are focused on improving the health and well-being of its patients, offering a wide range of services and medical and therapeutic specialties. The promotor plans to set up agreements with the SNS (public national health system) and several insurance companies to make the services more accessible to users in Portugal.

About Hugo Maia Massoterapeuta Unipessoal Lda

Hugo Maia Massoterapeuta Unipessoal Lda was established in 2021 in Porto. The company offers massage therapy, nutrition, and fitness services through its office at Rua de Gondarém 493.

At this moment, Hugo Maia, the founder and Massotherapist, is the company's only employee, but the clinic to be built will have 6 self-employed workers to cover two daily shifts. The company plans to grow and assemble a team of health professionals specialized in various expertise to offer appointments in partnership with the Portuguese National Health System and private insurance companies.

The founder feels the need to respond to the increased demand and establish partnerships with several professionals and entities in the sector. The client portfolio is around 300 people, and Hugo Maia wants to create a larger, more diversified offer.

The promoter's main suppliers are BTL Portugal, Technogym, Bastos e Viegas, File 0 Contabilidade and CTT.

Leading this project is Hugo, born in Porto, he is a massage therapist who is currently finishing his degree in Osteopathy at Escola Superior de Saúde do Norte. His passion for health therapies and wellness is visible in the various training courses he has accumulated over the years, from which we highlight the course of sports recovery and relaxation massage. the course lymphatic drainage techniques and Reiki courses Level I, II, and III.
