Description

Cantinho das Aromáticas is an agricultural company whose main purpose is to produce, dry, and sell dried aromatic herbs and plants, produced according to the organic agriculture framework. The company, which owns its own brand produces more than 150 species of aromatic plants, and more than 60 products, including infusions, tisanes, teas, and condiments, packaged and in bulk.

This campaign's goal is to increase the brand's results, by securing large orders from clients, creating a new online store, to promote sales in Portugal and in several European countries.

The funding will allow the promoter in acquiring materials to secure large orders made from clients, to be delivered before year end. Moreover, it will allow for considerable improvement of the current infrastructure and logistics, in order to achieve greater storage capacity, increase the stock available at any given time, and greater efficiency in all associated processes. It will also lead to launching the first functional teas presented by the brand (immunity, detox, relaxing, and energizing), products in growing demand among the public.

Preparing an infusion from aromatic and medicinal plants is becoming more and more common around the world, but the demand for infusions is still mainly due to their medicinal properties and not for the sensory pleasure of tasting them. Cantinho das Aromáticas has played an active role in creating a culture of infusion consumption, democratizing its access in various channels, in hundreds of stores, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, teahouses, and some processing industries throughout the country.

They were the leading promoters of a research project in this field involving two prestigious Portuguese universities (the Catholic University of Porto and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto).

Besides agricultural production, Cantinho da Aromática receives thousands of visits to the productive gardens every year, promotes workshops, and teambuilding sessions, and has for over a decade a busy social responsibility program (volunteer work) with the community, allowing everyone to enjoy the space and participate in various tasks on the farm every week.

Aromatic plants have historical use in several aspects of Portuguese culture and the knowledge of these traditions is a heritage Cantinho wants to embrace, using an organic production method in order to contribute to the protection and improvement of the environment and the quality of life of the populations.
