Goparity is an impact finance platform that connects companies seeking funding for sustainable projects with individuals and organizations that want to invest sustainably. Through our crowdlending platform, users can lend to entities that lead sustainable projects. We are growing both in terms of size and impact generated: we were born in Portugal in 2017, have since added offices in Spain and Canada, financed hundreds of projects and grown a large community of investors worldwide. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We're hiring an experienced Head of Marketing who has the potential to grow into our Chief Marketing Officer. This is a strategic leadership role that will oversee and scale Goparity's marketing, branding, and growth efforts across Europe, South America and Canada.

You'll lead and mentor the Marketing and Communications team and work together with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to identify growth opportunities, streamline user journeys, and create strategies that unlock our platform's full potential.

ABOUT THE ROLE – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Goparity's global brand strategy by ensuring a consistent tone of voice across all channels and communication materials while allowing for local adaptations (specifically in Portugal, Spain, and Canada, where we have local teams) and developing strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Lead and mentor the Marketing and communication towards achieving the company's OKRs while fostering collaboration across departments. Foster a culture of creativity, learning, and growth within the team. Build scalable marketing processes and identify future hiring needs.
  • Oversee the content marketing strategy and calendar, ensuring the seamless execution of campaigns across all channels.
  • Manage media relations and brand reputation in key geographies.
  • Enhance our paid media strategy across various platforms (search, display, social, and affiliate) and develop actionable performance marketing reports.
  • Own and evolve Goparity's growth strategy to drive qualified lead generation and investor acquisition. Define, track, and analyse key metrics such as customer acquisition and retention, ensuring a strong understanding of performance at all levels.
  • Work closely with Product to design and test growth experiments to optimise features for user acquisition and conversion. Drive marketing automation efforts, optimising contact database segmentation and CRM workflows.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to align messaging and feedback loops.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

Mandatory  

  • 4+ years in a leadership role in marketing, growth, and/or product.
  • Informed about social and environmental issues and eager to contribute towards Sustainable Development.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-channel content marketing strategy.
  • Experience in brand management, preferably in the finance/investment sector and/or in a D2C startup.
  • Strong experience with paid media (Google Ads, Display, LinkedIn, etc.), ideally with hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio).
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution skills in growth initiatives and/or content marketing.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
  • Based in Portugal or Spain.


Bonus points for

  • Experience in startups, fintech, or sustainable finance.
  • International work experience or managing remote teams.
  • Based in Lisbon or Barcelona.
  • Experience in driving user growth.
  • Experience in marketing automation.
  • Knowledge in technical SEO.

Salary range

Our salary range for this role is a total gross package of 40.000€ to 52.000€, aligned with your experience and location. 

Stock options are offered to performing team members and may be included in the compensation package. 


Workplace and flexibility

We are a remote, flexible team – maximum liberty comes with full responsibility. We are based in Wonder Work (Bairro Azul) in Lisbon and hold memberships of different working spaces in Barcelona.

We have one mandatory in-presence meeting, happening every quarter in Lisbon.

As a manager, we count on you to foster collaboration across teams by encouraging in-person meetings when possible. We believe that face-to-face time improves communication, builds trust, and promotes team alignment. 

Location: Our main office is in Lisbon, Portugal (Wonder Work Bairro Azul) and we just joined the Impact Hub in Barcelona, Spain, too.


Training budget 

Free allocation of a € 500 budget for individual growth training every year. Other training upon request and approval, subject to internal guidelines.
