In order to improve the Music Amateurs’ Academy environment, as well as its financial health, 36 more efficient and sustainable LED panels of greater quality lighting will be installed in the Academy’s facilities. One of the biggest recognized failures is the weak quality of lighting in its facilities, mainly due to a lack of maintenance for many years. This project will, thus, tackle this issue and allow for a greater environmental and financial sustainability of the Academy.

Music Amateurs’ Academy is a non-profit cultural association of Public Utility. It was founded in 1884 by a group of associates, founders of Guilherme Cossoul Club orchestra, with a specific goal: to spread the pleasure for good music, through regular courses, symphonic concerts and talks. For more than one century, the Academy was at the hub of musical and artistic creation in Portugal. In 1984 the Academy was rewarded by the Portuguese government with the Medal of Cultural Merit and the Order of Public Instruction.
