Support Engineer Intern

ABOUT GOPARITY

Goparity is an impact finance platform that connects companies that need funding for sustainable projects with individuals and organizations who want to invest sustainably. We are growing, both in terms of size and impact generated. We were born in Portugal in 2017 but have since then financed projects and grown a large community of investors all around the world. In 2022, our community invested as much as the total invested in the previous years together since the company was funded. We are looking for smart creative people who want to take part in our mission to democratize the financial sector, for the good of people and our planet.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Support Engineer Intern (the duration of this internship is 6 months) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal teams, managing IT infrastructure, and assisting in the development and resolution of minor bugs and tasks across our systems.


ABOUT THE ROLE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and programming languages.
  • Provide first-line technical support to company peers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain and administer IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Assist in the identification, prioritization, and resolution of software bugs and issues.
  • Document processes, procedures, and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute to the enhancement of our systems and processes
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and practices.


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a bootcamp or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Good knowledge of OOP technologies.
  • Knowledge of a JS framework, React or Vue (VueJs preferred)
  • You are eligible for an IEFP internship. Please note you must be have Portuguese residency or your diploma must be validated by a Portuguese institution (i.e. university).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for sustainability, social entrepreneurship, finance, and innovation.
  • Attentive to others and ability to work effectively with a multinational team (we are an English-first company, so you need to have good communication skills in English).
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.


NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior experience in a technical support role or IT environment preferred.

Location

Our main office is in Lisbon, Portugal (Bairro Azul) and we have an office in Barcelona, Spain (Impact Hub). We are remote-flexible and there are several people in the team working fully remotely.


Salary range

Your monthly salary will range from 1.149,50€ to 1.358,50€ gross, depending on your qualifications, plus a 10,20€ food allowance per working day (approximately 214€ per month).


HIRING PROCESS

The stages for this hiring process are:

  • CV Screening.
  • Screening interview (~15min).
  • Challenge.
  • Interview with your manager (~45min).
