A&S - INDÚSTRIA DE PANIFICAÇÃO E PASTELARIA, LDA is a pasta, bread, cake, and dessert factory in Seia.

This campaign's goal is to finance the installation of a 180,32 kWp photovoltaic plant with 3 batteries, each with a power of 200 kWh, at the headquarters of A&S.

Installation and maintenance will be carried out by Luz Verde, a company specialising in solar photovoltaic installations.

The total investment is 394.407 euros, 63% financed through this campaign and the rest from the company's own funds. The cost savings that this investment will generate, combined with the income that the company generates from its operations, will guarantee the timely repayment of this loan.

Direct

Contribution to the decarbonisation of Portugal, avoiding CO2 emissions: With a total production of clean energy of over 286 MWh per year, the solar plant will avoid the emission of more than 24 tonnes of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of about 1120 trees.
Cost reduction for the end customer: decentralized energy production through renewable sources, close to the place of consumption, helps to avoid distribution costs, this being the most competitive option. In addition, the company's lower dependence on the national grid makes it less vulnerable to price fluctuations and tax charges.

Indirect

Promoting sustainable business: the project developed for A&S is an example of the applicability of solar power for any business, and in this case serves as a benchmark to similar industries, an important step towards sustainability for businesses in Portugal.
