Direct 

• Promotion of local industry and employment: the 50 Rebels bikes are produced mainly in Portuguese manufactures, in the north of the country. The local production promotes and boosts the local industry, which in turn, generates employment. With the financing of this project, 50 Rebels will purchase 600 batteries to be used in bikes assembly during 2025. 
• Decarbonization of transport and cities: The use of electric bikes for daily commuting contribute to decarbonize cities and improve air-quality, since they are non-polluting methods of transportation. Also, each electric bike used for daily commuting to work avoids in average 243 kgs of CO2 emissions per year, in comparison with the use of a diesel car, which is the equivalent to the absorption of 11 trees yearly. Considering the 600 new bikes funded with this campaign, they will avoid 145 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year by replacing diesel cars. 

Indirect 

• Promotion of healthy lifestyles and well-being: increased cycling habits in cities contribute to air quality and road safety, when it replaces individual motorized transport, and to healthier lifestyles from the exercise. 
• Promotion of sustainable cities’ infrastructure: the financing of this projects contributes to more people cycling, which incentivizes public policy towards building resilient infrastructure for sustainable transport systems. 
• Promote accessible and sustainable transport systems: the financing of this project can empower people in locomotion, in which they will have access to sustainable transport systems.

50 Rebels Company, Lda produce bicicletas eléctricas en Portugal desde 2020. Su pequeño pero dedicado equipo de 7 personas ha estado conquistando Europa desde su sede en Torres Vedras (Portugal) con un diseño de bicicleta único y una marca sólida. Desde sus inicios, 50 Rebels se comprometió a producir localmente tantos productos y preproductos como fuera posible, lo que ha dado lugar a la fabricación de cuadros en Anadia, asientos en Famalicão y portaequipajes en Torres Vedras. Comprometidos con hacer sus productos más sostenibles, 50 Rebels introducirá un esquema de uso circular de baterías de litio en 2023 con socios en Portugal y Francia.
Esta pequeña y única empresa portuguesa quiere seguir contribuyendo al cambio de la movilidad urbana en Europa, alcanzando a personas que antes no formaban parte del mercado de bicicletas. El reciente lanzamiento de la V-Series, la segunda serie de productos de 50 Rebels, continúa cambiando la percepción de cómo deberían ser las bicicletas eléctricas y hace que el transporte urbano y suburbano sea más fácil, seguro y divertido.

El promotor produce bicicletas de alta calidad en Portugal especialmente adaptadas a zonas con pendientes y caminos difíciles, baches y vías de tranvía. El diseño y las especificaciones de las bicicletas de 50 Rebels se han introducido con éxito en varios países europeos a través de una estrategia de comercio electrónico y socios seleccionados. En el núcleo de la marca, destacan las tiendas insignia y los espacios shop-in-shop en ciudades como Ámsterdam, Berlín, Oporto, Valencia y Zúrich.
