This campaign aims to fund an energy transition project for the Prazeres da Terra factory in Chaves.

Prazeres da Terra produces, among many other products, the traditional and famous Pasteis de Chaves, with IGP (Protected Geographical Indication).

The project includes a photovoltaic plant for self-consumption, made up of 400 460Wp panels, and will have a power output of 184Kw. The panels will be installed in a "Carport" format, to allow motor vehicles to park in the shade.

The solar panels will be installed and maintained by Ventos e Argumentos, a company specializing in photovoltaic solar installations.

Contribution to the decarbonisation of Portugal, avoiding CO2 emissions: With a total production of clean energy of over 248 MWh per year, the solar plant will avoid the emission of more than 34 tonnes of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of 1550 trees.
Cost reduction for the end customer: decentralized energy production through renewable sources, close to the place of consumption, helps to avoid distribution costs, this being the most competitive option. In addition, the company's lower dependence on the national grid makes it less vulnerable to price fluctuations and tax charges.
Support of electric mobility: through the installation of chargers for electric vehicles, the project supports e-mobility.

Promoting sustainable business: the project developed for Prazeres da Terra is an example of the applicability of solar power for any business, and in this case serves as a benchmark to similar industries, an important step towards sustainability for businesses in Portugal.
Support for the decentralization of investments in Portugal: the city of Chaves, where the installation will happen, in the northern region of Portugal classifies as a less developed region in the country. Thus, sustainable investments in the region are needed to strengthen the economy and the community and prepare it for the future.

PRAZERES DA TERRA, LDA.

El promotor, PRAZERES DA TERRA, es una empresa fundada en 2006 en Chaves, impulsada por la visión y los conocimientos de su socio administrador, Jorge Santos. A lo largo de sus casi 20 años de trayectoria, el proyecto ha crecido continuamente, y ha sido galardonado con diversos premios y distinciones.

La actividad de Prazeres da Terra se basa en la producción y comercialización de productos regionales, en su mayoría pasteles salados, y su producto de mayor renombre es el Pastel de Chaves, con Indicación geográfica protegida (IGP).

Con dos años de actividad, la empresa inició su asociación con el grupo SONAE, comercializando el Pastel de Chaves para las tiendas Bagga. En 2009, debido a su crecimiento, Prazeres da Terra trasladó sus instalaciones al Parque Empresarial de Chaves.

En 2015, Prazeres da Terra obtuvo la certificación IGP, que sirvió de impulso para ampliar su número de socios y clientes, entre los que se incluyen grandes grupos como Pingo Doce, Aldi, Lidl, El Corte Inglés y Auchan (Alcampo), así como referentes en el sector de la restauración y hostelería como Ibersol, Casa dos Frangos y Grupo Solverde.

Para consolidar su presencia en la ciudad que la acoge, Prazeres da Terra agasajó a los flavienses con la apertura de su tienda en la Rua Maria Rita en 2021. En la actualidad es un lugar de referencia tanto para los residentes como para los visitantes que desean probar un Pastel de Chaves u otros productos producidos por Prazeres da Terra y sus empresas asociadas.

Comprometida con la innovación, la seguridad alimentaria y la sostenibilidad, la empresa inició en 2023 la ampliación de la unidad de producción y la adquisición de nuevos equipos y también lanzó una aplicación para la venta de productos tales como Pasteis de Chaves hechos en el momento, bajo el lema «calientes y ricos».
