The aim of this campaign is to finance a pilot project for the construction and marketing of a solar container with energy storage. The project is promoter by Pleno Energia, a company which is part of the Joyn Group, and which has already obtained three loans through Goparity in the past.

The container measures 6 x 2.4 meters, and will be equiped with 28 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels with 450W, and a set of 6 lithium batteries with 4.2 kW.

In total, it will have 36kWp (panels & bateries) of installed power, and capacity to produce on average 15.76 MWh of clean energy and hance avoid the emission of nearly 23.64 tonnes of CO2 per year. The set of batteries has 25.2kW of power. The construction, installation and operation of the solar panels and set of batteries will be conducted by Pleno Energia, a Portuguese Energy Marketing and Energy Services provider, which will also be the project’s promoter and the owner of the equipment. The company will also be in charge of the energy marketing.

The container is the ideal solution for construction sites which have no access to electrictiy since it allows for a rapid installation (ready to be used in just 4 hours) and ensures a reduction of up to 5 times in the cost of energy, which would have otherwise been produced by a diesel generator. The container has other advantages: it does not comprise fuel costs, nor does it comprise supply-related logistics; it has reduced maintenance, does not produce any noise or smell; it reduces the risk of work-related accidents, the container can also be used to store tools and documents, and its energy production and storage capacities can be increased at any time.

The panels have a lifespan of up to 25 years, the bateries can last up to 12 years and the exterior lights up to 5 years.

Direct:

Contributes to the decarbonisation of the economy: with an estimated energy production of 15.76MWh, the solar container will avoid the emission of 3.2 tonnes of CO2 per year, the equivalent to the CO2 absorption capacity of 145 trees. At the same time, the transportation of the container avoids 100% of the costs and emissions involved with the traditional model, since it is planned that it will be carried out by heavy-duty vehicles which are powered by green hydrogen (in Portugal and abroad).

Indirect:

Promotes innovation in the provision of modern sustainable energy services: presenting itself as a natural alternative to diesel generators (a considerable source of atmospheric pollution), normally used in shipyards and civil construction works, this project is innovative in its ability to move to places where it is necessary to use power.

Fundada en 2017 (oficialmente em 2019, como PlenoEnergia) por Paulo Ribeiro e Eurico Sobral, Pleno Energia es una pequeña empresa que opera en el sector de las energías renovables, con sede en Carnaxide.

La empresa forma parte del Grupo Joyn, una empresa tecnológica con más de 400 empleados y 20 años de experiencia en Consultoría en los sectores de Banca, Seguros, Energía, entre otros.

En 2017 se fundó Pleno Energia como comercializadora de energía y, desde 2019, también se dedica al suministro de otros servicios energéticos, desde la eficiencia energética, hasta la instalación y mantenimiento de paneles solares para proyectos de autoconsumo o revestimiento energético.

La empresa pretende ampliar su negocio con la misión de acercar la “energía solar para todos”, aumentando su oferta para pequeñas instalaciones, dirigidas a particulares, turismo rural y organizaciones del ámbito social (en su mayoría Instituciones Privadas de Solidaridad Social).

Cuenta con una red internacional de empleados en Portugal, España y Brasil, con alrededor de 90 empleados operativos para apoyar la transición energética de las empresas. También cuenta con un equipo técnico propio especializado en la instalación de plantas solares fotovoltaicas, y un equipo de ingeniería que desarrolla e implementa soluciones de energía solar y similares para sus clientes.
