The Sol e Chuva Hotel is located 17 kilometres from Montalegre, by the Pisões Dam, the country's second-largest.

Open for over 30 years, the Sol e Chuva Hotel is now widely recognized in the Montalegre restaurant and hotel scene. The hotel has eight rooms, a bar, and a restaurant famous for its traditional local recipes which have been served in town for over four decades. Sol e Chuva also hosts events overlooking the blue Rabagão River.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase a 28.08kWp photovoltaic plant for self-consumption. The plant will include 52 photovoltaic panels, a car park system and two 11kW chargers for electric vehicles.

The installation of the power plant and chargers will be the responsibility of Ventos e Argumentos - Soluções de Energia, Lda., a Portuguese energy service provider.

The project has a budget of about €40,000, of which 80% (€32,900) will be financed through GoParity, 15% through Sol e Chuva's own capital, and 5% will be secured by the installer and repaid at a 1% rate a year by Sol e Chuva.

Direct:

Contributing to the decarbonization of the economy, helping to avoid the emission of CO2: with an estimated clean energy production of 44 MWh/year, the solar plant will help avoid the emission of 7,1 tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of planting 324 trees.

Indirect:

Promotion of e-mobility: installing two charger columns for electric vehicles at the Hotel promotes e-mobility and a more conscious approach for the tourism segment.
