• Promote safe sports practice: the cycling studio contributes to increase the safety of sports practice and reducing risks of road traffic accidents and adverse weather conditions, by providing the technology needed to best simulate outdoors cycling inside. And safety measures around cycling are central to the promoter in the planned community events.
• Promotion of healthy lifestyles and well-being: increased cycling habits contribute to healthier lifestyles, while participation in sport reduces the risks of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. The studio has an approach focused on health improvement incorporated to the training plans. Also, by integrating groups activities, indoors and outdoors, the promoter wants to build a community around cycling, which contributes to overall wellness.

• Jobs creation: with the opening of the studio, the promoter will hire three new employees until March of 2025.
• Reduced and efficient resources consumption: the studio will have equipment that enables efficient and reduced water and electricity consumption, associated to an insulated and thermal-efficient building.
• Contribution for more equal access to sports: Cycling district contributes to improve access to the sports practice by offering smart bikes that allow athletes of different levels to have both individual and group experiences, adapted to their performance and goals. Also, the studio promotes awareness around gender in sports, mainly cycling, in a YouTube channel where they highlight stories of athletes from diverse backgrounds.

Cycling District tiene como objetivo atraer a más personas al ciclismo creando un espacio vibrante e inclusivo donde cualquiera, desde principiantes hasta atletas experimentados, pueda explorar la emoción de pedalear. El estudio ofrece un entorno controlado e inmersivo con equipamiento de última generación, entrenamiento experto y una aproximación personalizada, eliminando las barreras de entrada al deporte. El nombre Cycling District y el lema "ciclismo de rendimiento para todos" representan un lugar donde todos pueden sentirse como en casa en su viaje de ciclismo, descubriendo la camaradería, el desafío y la alegría del ciclismo indoor.

Fundada en 2024 en Oporto por un grupo de emprendedores que vieron una oportunidad única a partir del hobby de uno de sus fundadores, Diogo Oliveira. Diogo descubrió el ciclismo indoor con un software de simulación, y lo que empezó como un pasatiempo pronto se convirtió en una pasión. Durante dos años, se sumergió en este mundo, uniéndose a un equipo de ciclismo competitivo y ganando algunas etapas de un Tour de Francia virtual. Este viaje no habría sido posible sin José, quien le presentó este concepto. José luego se convirtió en el primer miembro del equipo de Cycling District y actualmente gestiona el estudio de Oporto.
Juntos, imaginaron un espacio donde amigos virtuales pudieran conectar en la vida real y experimentar la emoción de competir lado a lado. Los fundadores también comprendieron la importancia de hacer el ciclismo más accesible, ya que pedalear en calles concurridas o en condiciones climáticas adversas puede ser desalentador, y las configuraciones de entrenamiento en casa suelen ser solitarias, costosas y requieren conocimientos técnicos.
